Aerides quinquevulnera
     These are a lovely aerides native to Malaysia and the Philippines. They produce rather long pendant inflourescences covered with white and magenta flowers. They are long lasting and FRAGRANT! It has been called “the Aerides with five wounds” referring to the five colored tips on the flower. We grow ours in fairly bright light (alongside cattleyas and vandas) and they do very well for us.
