Angraecum
sedifolium
This is one
of those plants you can show to orchidist and have them question whether
it is indeed and orchid! It has great succulent foliage. Native to the
central highlands of Madagascar, in our care Angraecum sedifolium seems
to require regular moisture despite its succulent appearance. Low to intermediate
light, good air movement and intermediate temperatures will keep it happy.
An adequate pad of coconut is strongly recommended to keep this species
from becomming overly dry. Sedifolium is not easy to revive if it becomes
dessicated. Most of the plants that we have lost have perished for this
singular reason.
