Baptistonia echinata
     Native to Brazil, this is a lovely little epiphyte. It can grow in a wide range of temperature conditions; from cool to “hot”. They must be kept rather shaded (most of us have a perfect spot for one of these!). We’ve grown them plaqued on cork, but they can also be grown potted. They need a brief resting period (less water) once the new pseudobulbs mature. The blossoms are really neat looking and there’s lots of them!
