Gongora aff. pleiochroma
     This beauty was imorted from Ecuador. Its identity came into question when it first bloomed. It was NOT what we ordered! We sent blossoms to Selby’s Orchid Identification Center when they were still in operation. It is most like Gongora pleiochroma. They grow and bloom well in intermediate temperatures in low to intermediate light. There’s LOTS of blossoms on each inflorescence and it’s quite a show! The flowers shown are of this plant before it was divided.
