Isabelia
pulchella Marisa
(aka Neolauchea puchella)
These little
treasures are native to Brazil. These are members of a small genus that
also includes virginalis and violacea (fmr. sophronitella). They have
needle-like leaves on tiny pseudobulbs and creep along, rooting
beautifully on cork plaques. Our flower picture doesnt do it justice
--- the flowers open wide (theyre about dime-size) and are quite
long-lasting. Unusual little orchids.
