Jumellea
comorensis
This species
is native to the Comoro Islands; hence the name. Unlike some of the Jumelleas
(e.g. arachnanthes), comorensis are very manageable sized plants. We have
a big, old one in bloom in the greenhouse - and its
12" tall and is in a 3-1/2" pot. They can grow taller, but dont
need to be more than a few inches tall to begin blooming. The blossoms
of Jumelleas are quite similar; white, quite star shaped with rather long
nectaries - and these are fragrant. Choice little plants!!!
