Rangaeris
amaniensis July
This choice
plant used to be called Angraecum amaniensis. Its part of that wonderful
group of plants native to Africa and Madagascar. When theyre in
bloom, its like a cloud of fragrant white flowers. Weve found
these to be quite tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions, relatively
pest-free, and very reliable bloomers. We began selling these by accident,
really. One day we went to the greenhouse and found our specimen plant
on the ground. It had become so large that its plaque, wire and
all, let loose. We all of a sudden had saleable plants! Though we keep
ours on plaques, weve potted several for customers growing in windows
with favorable results.
