Papilionanthe vandarum ‘Marisa’ - great frilly white flowers on an interresting teret-leaved plants

 Papilionanthe vandarum ‘Marisa’
Let me say a few things about this infinitely “cool” plant. We got it from a woman who does well with Masdevallias. It was near death. They DO NOT like Masdevallia conditions! Cool as it is, it does not like cool growing conditions. It thrives and blooms wonderfully in our intermediate to warm greenhouse. We tried growing them potted and plaqued, and as well as we do with plaqued orchids—the potted ones grew so much better, we only grow them potted now. The blossoms are FANTASTIC! This flower is what you can expect, as our plants are all from that original plant.
