All four species of of Paraphalaenopsis are native to Borneo. They like it warm, slightly shaded and moist—but not wet. Base your light on the color of the leaves; a little magenta is okay, a lot means too much light. We grow most of ours mounted on cork plaques. Labukensis is the largest (or longest) of the genus. We’ve read that on extremely well-grown plants the leaves can be over nine feet in length! WOW. Our “big” ones are between two and three feet and have been blooming for several years. They are interesting, unusual and BEAUTIFUL!!!
