New Zealand Sphagnum Moss
     Use alone as an orchid medium or as an additive to other potting mediums. It can be used in both plastic and terra cotta pots with great success. Mini-catts (and possibly other orchids) grow beautifully when a “collar” of sphagnum is put around the plant and the roots are allowed to remain “free” in the pot below.

Sphagnum can also be used to retain moisture on plaques.
